About Us

A Safe Place to Be Heard, Supported and Empowered

We believe that people grow when they feel safe enough to be honest about where they are and supported enough to take the next step.

Our organisation was created to support social workers, families and professionals who may be facing personal or professional challenges. We offer a calm, respectful and empowering space where people can reflect, receive guidance and feel less alone in what they are carrying.

At the heart of our work is a simple belief: those who support others also deserve to be supported.

Our Story

This organisation was founded by an experienced social worker with more than 10 years of experience in the field.

After years of working within social work, one thing became clear: social workers are striving every day to make a difference, often while carrying the emotional weight of complex situations, difficult decisions and high expectations. Yet, when they need support themselves, they can sometimes feel left without a safe space to turn to.

This organisation was created to change that.

We wanted to build a place where social workers from all walks of life could feel supported, encouraged and empowered to grow. A place where professionals can speak openly, reflect on challenges and continue becoming the best version of themselves in their work.

Why We Exist

Social work is meaningful, but it can also be demanding. It requires empathy, resilience, patience and the ability to face difficult situations with care and professionalism.

We know that many social workers give so much to others that they can forget, or simply not have the opportunity, to receive support themselves. Our aim is to give back to social workers as they have given, and continue to give, to others.

We also exist to support families who may be experiencing challenges but feel unable to approach statutory services. Sometimes people need guidance before they are ready to take a formal step. Sometimes they need a safe conversation first.

That is where we come in.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide a safe, supportive and empowering space for social workers, families and professionals who are navigating challenges, change or uncertainty.

We aim to help people feel heard, respected and guided — whether they are seeking personal support, professional development, mentoring, consultation or training.

We do not believe support should feel cold, rushed or judgemental. We believe it should feel human, thoughtful and grounded in respect.

Our Values

Empathy

We listen with care and without judgement. Empathy allows us to understand not only what someone is going through, but how that experience may be affecting them personally and professionally.

Respect

Every person who comes to us deserves to be treated with dignity. We respect each individual’s story, background, choices and pace.

Empowerment

We believe in helping people recognise their own strengths, options and capacity to move forward. Our role is not to take over, but to support people in finding clarity and confidence.

Who We Are Here For

We are here for social workers who want to grow, reflect and feel supported in their professional journey.

We are here for families who may be experiencing challenges and need a safe place to talk before approaching formal services.

We are here for local authorities and private organisations looking for coaching, consultation or tailored training that reflects the realities of the work their teams do every day.

Most importantly, we are here for people who may not know exactly what they need yet, but know they should not have to face everything alone.

Our Motto

A Safe Place to Be Held

This motto reflects the heart of our organisation.

To be held does not mean to be fixed, rushed or told what to do. It means to be met with patience, care and respect. It means having space to breathe, speak honestly and feel supported while finding the right way forward.

We want every person who reaches out to feel welcome. If we do not have the answers, we can direct you to someone who may be able to help.

All are welcome.
